My first 5k!

This weekend I ran my first 5k! I know that's a measly amount to a lot of people, espeically Justin, but for me it was kind of a big deal. In 7th grade I decided that I should do track, and since I was no good at any of the events, they had me run the 800 open. My little brother Tommy never hesitates to remind me about how I came in last place. (If you watch The Middle, I was totally Sue Heck in more ways than one.) I have never been a runner (nor has anyone in my family) so in 'training' for this run, I ran farther than I ever have before at one time. I'd like to say that I finished with some awesome time, but it wasn't even close. I'm not sure who arranged this 5k, but it involved running on the side of a super windy mountain in the snow for 1.5 miles, then down a severely steep, extremely narrow, covered-in-ice decline (with a stroller). I fell on my butt on the decline, and I'm pretty sure my tailbone is bruised, but I finished it. I ran the last 1.5 miles, and I am proud of myself for doing it. Justin ran it (read: skipped along) with me, which was awesome. He pushed the stroller most of the time, including down the rediculous hill, and encouraged me the whole way. He's awesome.

Before. It was really cold. And those were Jake's seeds.

Jake came to cheer me on! What an awesome brother!

We also got a new dishwasher this weekend. Our old one has been making horrendous noises for the last year or so, so we finally broke down and bought a new one. Everyone had to help Dad get the new one in.

Ollie has become an expert escape artist. And sometimes it's so stinkin cute I just can't find it in my heart to stop him. I'm sure that will go away the first time he pees on my bed or something.

Also, this picture makes him look like he has no feet, but I assure you he has two very cute, very stinky ones. Stinky in a baby way.

I'm not a runner either, but I like to fake that I am. When you come to live out here, we should run a 5K together. I would totally make you feel better about yourself. :)

You have that same beautiful look of accomplishment on your face that I saw after Ollies birth. It brings tears to my eyes....
