Autumn Mini-Crochet

I love autumn! It's not as beautiful out here as it is at home, but it's still nice. I love the crisp mornings and chilly evenings, pumpkin bread, jack-o-lanterns, and pie. It's just so lovely to see how mother nature cleans things up a bit during the fall and winter so she can breathe new life into everything come spring.

I was thinking it would be fun to do a little crochet today, and how neat would it be if it were something autumn-ish? So I found this adorable and crazy-simple crochet pattern for a little autumn leaf over at craftstylish.com.

Isn't it cute?

It seriously took 2 minutes. I made this with a heavier weight crochet thread, and a D hook. You can make it with any weight yarn you'd like (I had that on hand), and the small size is just so cute! Just make sure that your hook is the right size for your yarn, of course. I'm not really sure what to do with it, but how cute would this be in a garland? Or made a few in different sizes to scatter on your table? Really there are tons of thigs you could do. Or you could just make them for fun. It's cathartic.

Oooo, I like these. I think to make some in different sizes and then have them on your table. They are very cute.

We need to have a craft day sometime. It would be fun to get the WV gals together and do something fun and cute!

Wow Amanda, you're so crafty! What a neat little project. I guess I still need to learn how to crochet though...
