Sunshine

I went for a jog the other morning around a new development that is being built next to our house, and saw a bunch of beautiful yellow flowers growing in the vacant lots. When we first moved here, the development was just a field, and the whole thing was over run with these beauts. I decided to go back later and cut some for my table, because I don't think the developer will miss a few blooms. I hope that's ok.

I'm not sure what they are. They kind of look like a small sunflower. They're wonderful on my kitchen table. They bring a little extra sunshine into the day.
