Justin installed a new screen door on our townhouse on Monday! We like having the fresh air in our house (it's good for you!) and so we'd always just leave the door open. Obviously, this results in various flying insects buzzing around our house, and Justin chasing them in a cursing frenzy with the fly swatter. We figured that everyone's life would be a little easier with a screen door. And the kitties really enjoy being able to watch outside without the threat of heavy handed children.
Calvin and I offered support while Justin was installing the door. That means I took picutres, Calvin ate some catnip and sunbathed, and Justin installed the door all by himself. What a great hubby he is!
I put up a picture of my "container garden" because it's actually growing! It holds a grape tomato plant, Flat leaf parsley, Curly Leaf Parsley, Chives, Rosemary, and a Pepper plant. Everything is thriving beautifully with the exception of the pepper plant. I try every year, but they just don't like me. I think I water them too much.
Oh well. Everything else likes me, and is becoming very handy. I love having a few fresh herbs to cook with, and I can't wait to have some little tomatoes. The plant already has about 15 little green ones on it, and it's still budding like crazy. I can't wait until I can have a real garden again (we had one at our old apartment) but for now, this little one satifies the itch.
Here are the pictures:
