I'm Finished.

At Last.

My days of BYU, once numbered, are now over. I figured as a recent college graduate, I should share a few tidbits of knowledge I learned while I was earning my Bachelors in Home and Family Living. I hope you all find this enlightening:

1. Bs (and C's, and D's) get degrees.
There's definitely a limit how on much you need to kill yourself. Sometimes all that extra work isn't worth it. Just relax, do your best, and be satisfied with a balanced life.

2. Life is hard, but you can do hard things.
There's no point in getting frustrated and discouraged when things are difficult. You can do it. Just put your mind to it.

3. Education is important.
More that the book learning I did in college, the skills I learned were the most important.

4. Never let your Schooling get in the way of your Education.

5. I don't like working in groups.
Whoever says this type of learning has "real life application" is full of bologny. I can work with people fine. But collaborating with unorganized, irresponsible, and annoying college kids is a different story.

6. The world is out to take your money.
Especially the BYU Bookstore.

Funny story: I went to sell my books back on Tuesday (the third day of six for sell-backs) and I could only sell back 2 of my 8 books. I paid over $100 for the two of them, and got back $37. I was pretty ticked, but I can't say I wasn't expecting it. The conversation with the cashier went as follows:

Me: I wonder what they expect me to do with all these books I can't sell back.

Cashier Lady: I don't know. But you can put them in the "donation barrel" over there on your way out. I'm not sure what they do with them.

Me: Probably put them back on the shelf and sell them next semester.

Cashier: (dumbfounded stare of realization)

Me: Yeah.

Needless to say, I didn't donate them. Justin will have a great time shooting them as soon as the weather improves.

P.S. The snow is crazy here. It makes me wish I was somewhere warm and tropical. Any takers? (Takers meaning people who want to take me with them to a tropical island. Don't worry- I'm not picky which one.)

So a Great Big "Thanks!" to everyone that helped me get through the last 3 1/2 years. It was so worth it. I hope you feel the same.

Hahaha.... as if that is going to be different in a career. The only difference is that they will be older.
